We had Bella's 15 month check up yesterday which was a very heart breaking fiasco. As soon as I started to get her undressed she knew she was going to be poked and prodded and was not happy. She kept doing the sign for 'all done' and saying 'bye-bye'. Even the pediatrician mentioned how 'fiesty' she was when trying to hold her down and do her exam. She really hasn't grown since her last visit-weight or height, but the doctor said that she won't worry unless the pattern continues. She figured it was just due to the fact that Bella is mobile now and height really isn't in the genes! Other than that we have a pediatric ophthalmologist appointment next week because Bella's tear ducts have been clogged since birth but now the right one has had three episodes of blood-tinged tears. So we are praying for a clean bill of health and that Bella will cooperate a little better for that exam.
Other than that she is ALL OVER THE PLACE. She doesn't want to sit in her stroller, shopping cart, or any other restraining device so going anywhere takes quite a long time. But it's so precious to watch her waddling along behind me! She says "hi" to every one she passes and loves other people as long as I am not leaving her with them!
Her new words are :
two, bubbles, bear, meow, whoo-whoo (for an owl), down, bye-bye (instead of just bye), Elmo, spoon, cheese, topper (her giraffe), baby, "B" (which is how she refers to herself), and fight (I blame David for this one....he loves to put her on the bed and have pillow fights and now she is always walking into our room, pointing up to the bed, and saying "fight"!).
Bella loves her ball pit
Every Tuesday she has to help me circle all the grocery deals in the circulars!
Playing Play-doh with daddy
Big girl
Walking in circles
Watching herself on the camera screen
that's hilarious that one of her first words is "fight," but hey...who doesn't think a good pillow fight is tons of fun?? :)
