A Morning At The Zoo

California has so many hidden gems.  I just love exploring and seeing everything there is to offer.  David and I were a little taken aback when we realized our time here is almost halfway done...crazy!  So today Bella and I and our friends took a trip to the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo. It was sunny, warm and just beautiful.  The kids had such a great time (and it was free! well, besides donations)

Bella really enjoyed the hands-on museum portion.  She got a little frustrated at the animals because she wanted to touch them...which we all know is impossible!  We decided the museum portion will be a great activity to bring the kids back to on those upcoming cold winter days when we can't be outside.

Here's what we did:

There were several maze-like structures that you put the tennis ball in and watch it zig-zag down:

Bella is going to be a Price is Right fan like her mama!! This exhibit was just like plinko....put the chip in and watch it fall down!

Little wooden animals "walked" down the ramp:

Bella loved flipping all the switches at this station:

Hey, where'd my ball go?!

Cruising along the froggie statue:

Caleb, Keira, Seraphina (with her hand on Keira's leg-sooo cute!), and Bella who is sooo over taking pictures!!

Good day with great friends!!!!

Random Cuteness

David was out of town this past weekend so Bella and I were home alone and it rained....boo! So we mostly just hung around except for my brilliant (NOT!) idea to try and take her, by myself, in the forementioned rain to church. What was I thinking?! We were already running late (naps were wierd because of daylight savings...which by the way is of no benefit to those with children!) and then got pulled over. No, contrary to what you all are thinking, I was NOT speeding!! Nope, I got pulled over for something this Infinity has now been pulled over for 3 times...not having a front license plate. Luckily the first warning went to David, then my dad, and now me! The cop was very nice and I played the, "I'm so sorry officer, we just moved here from Texas a few weeks ago" spiel and it totally worked! Despite my nagging David STILL hasn't gotten the plate put on (he claims the car doesn't look as cool with it on?!). We made it to church about 15 minutes late but there was no parking anywhere so despite my best intentions we turned around and went home.

Anywho! here are some random pictures since Halloween

Trick or Treat 2010

If there is a kid holiday, activity, event, etc. I love it so having a kid of my own makes it that much more acceptable to partake! (which means I now have an excuse to be even MORE of a Disney nut, if that is even possible!).  So I was thoroughly excited for Halloween this year.  We are taking a family trip to Disney for Christmas so wanted Bella to be a Disney princess so we could get two uses out of her costume....Snow White it was!  We went trick or treating with some neighborhood friends (and I think all the adults were very excited about all the great candy)!  The houses were all decorated really cute and it was fun seeing kids everywhere all dressed up.  Bella got a glow stick necklace and bracelet at one house which kept he entertained the whole hour we were trick or treating!

Dressed and ready to go:
A little pre trick or treating swing with Seraphina
 David/Bella, Heather/Caleb, Perry/Seraphina, Kristin/Maddison, and Levent/Zeke & Aiden
Awaiting goodies!
One house had an awesome yard display complete with bubbles which Bella and Caleb thoroughly enjoyed.
Playing with all her loot!  David, of course, has already finished all the Receeses!
