This weekend one of the David's buddies from residency and his wife were vacationing in California. They were in San Francisco for the weekend so we decided to meet up. They toured Alcatraz which I thought might be a little much with an 8 month old so we did our own thing and met up for dinner. We had read about this hidden "gem" in the city and decided to check it out. I say "gem" because it involves childish thrills which makes me a happy, happy girl!!!! They are the Seward Street Slides....basically two huge concrete slides literally smack dab in the middle of a crowded San Francisco neighborhood. Grab a piece of cardboard and HANG ON TIGHT, these things go fast!! Needless to say I had a blast...I am wondering if my intense love for all things thrill ride will rub off onto Bella!!! Don't worry, Bella and I are NOT going full speed!
Our next stop was Pier 39 to see the seals and meet for dinner. It was pretty windy and cold so we didn't stay outdoors long. Bella decided she was too much of a big girl to take an afternoon nap but did pretty well through dinner which was absolutely delicious.
That's a lot of seals, huh?!...stinky!
Dinner with the Gelfands
Today we went to church (Bella is deep in the throws of separation anxiety and leaving her in the nursery is nothing but hysterics on her part....so sad!), some shopping, and then an afternoon outdoors and the local art and wine festival.
Such a helpful shopper....
Chillin' in her stroller at the festival...
.

Another fun weekend in Cali!
