Although Bella's first real Easter egg Hunt was two weekends ago, I felt she needed a "do over" since she got so sick that day. So we went to an egg hunt both days this past weekend!
The hunt on saturday was at a community ceter and the kids could take pictures with the Easter bunny and make necklaces which Bella loved. Two other families joined us and the weather was gorgeous so we had a great time. Unfortunatly the egg hunt was literally over as fast as it began-there was a section of eggs for walkers to age 2 but when the bell rang for the hunt to start you wouldn't believe how vicious parents got just to get the most eggs. Bella got two eggs full of stickers so she was a very happy girl.
My once upon a time shy little girl actually LIKES the Easter bunny!

The hunt on Sunday was at our church. Even though there were no crazy parents pushing at this one, the kids were a little older and so the hunt was over again in under 5 seconds. One precious little girl came up to Bella afterward and offered her one of the eggs she had collected because she didn't think Bella had gotten any. It brought a tear to my eye. She was probably about 4 years old and didn't do it because her parents prompted her-she simply did it out of a giving heart. I pray I raise Bella with that same gracious spirit and not a pushy, get ahead attitude. Bella had a half a bagel before the egg hunt and from the pictures you can tell that was clearly all she was interested in!
No time to egg hunt, must eat bagel (and carry mom's purse)!
Happy Easter!

So sweet!
Although all the egg hunting, craft making, and Easter bunny sightings were fun I am most thankful that Bella loves reading her bible, knows Jesus (or Gigi as she calles Him) is in her heart, and that she insists we pray before meals-how precious her child like faith is. Happy Easter!
